Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Process Associate / Kaizen Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and supporting manufacturing process improvement projects with intense focus of adding value to the customer. You will employ continuous improvement initiatives to obtain improvements to specific projects. You will work multiple projects with the ability to move across functional areas of the factories.

You will facilitate Kanban, Kaizen, and 5S events, order necessary supplies, and educate associates on these common manufacturing concepts and practices. You will update and implement changes to the manufacturing system and maintain proper documentation. You will be responsible for generating the hourly schedule for team production.

  • Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement events. Deliver timely results, track improvement, ensure control and honor accountability.
  • Train and mentor others in A3 Problem Solving Method in an ongoing basis.
  • Solve multiple problems on a continual basis using A3 Problem Solving Method.
  • Create Visual Management tools for sustaining improvements.
  • Adapt a flexible approach to working hours to as required by the business.
  • Be open to new ideas, understand the need for change and be willing to adapt

Qualifications

    • High School Diploma
    • Must have experience with the Toyota production system
    • Strong demonstration of commonly used Lean Management and Six Sigma concepts and tool in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven ability to think critically and objectively
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office
    • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated people skills with the ability to work with a variety of different types of learning styles and personalities
    • Ability to lead and motivate and a self-starter
    • Experience in new product introduction and continuous process improvements.
    • Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources- MS Office, manufacturing systems and equip.
