  • Improve quality of NB products to delight consumers, serve customers and satisfy regulators.
  • Establish sound systems to assure quality and sustain quality improvements to deliver target quality.
  • Build the required competencies in  the  Quality organization to deliver our global quality goals.



  • Improve cross-functional business processes to drive the external  quality perception of our products, e.g. Codify the reasons why consumers return or don’t buy our products and enable Development and Value Chain to improve design and/or execution, Incorporate Voce of the Consumer feedback (eCom & retail) into product creation & development., design quality into product, materials, technology, process & operations, and  manufacturing feedback to design.
  • Run mini-Quality Task Force in Global Business Units to engage & drive  quality tools & systems deeper into the organization.
  • Implement and hold us accountable to maintain standards & systems to assure target quality, e.g. CQPs/CCQPs/PCPs, Lab Quality & Test Methods, CAPAs for Quality Incident Systems, validation of materials & processes, Warehouse inspections, quality holds/delays, eCom /retail feedback, etc.
  • Implement a corporate Quality Management System of policies, standards, SOPs and best practices.
  • Lead global quality projects, e.g. Vocie of the Consumer from eCom & retail. Facilitate SQI resolutions.  Teach TQM & 6-sigma tools.



  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering. A Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical engineering degree is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience with 5+ years in the footwear industry (10 years & performance footwear experience strongly preferred) with knowledge of products, materials, processes, technologies. Apparel & expat experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years in quality roles leading quality initiatives with design, development, materials, lab measurements and manufacturing/supply chain. A proven track record in leading a result driven quality organization.
  • Leadership skills: Results driven, Bold change leader, Strategic, Critical thinker, Pragmatic, Builder of trust, Comfortable with ambiguity & drives for clarity, Clear & concise communicator, Self-Directed, Action-Oriented, Influential, Collaborative, Continuous learner, Fluent in English.
  • Technical skills: Problem solving, Process control & validation, Lean 6 Sigma. DOE and gage R&R preferred.
  • Computer skills required: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio flowcharting. Minitab or similar preferred.
  • Travel: Willing to travel to factories, suppliers and other locations. Travel outside the U.S. could be ~ 5% to 10%.
